![]() ![]() A cashier comes in between 12.30pm and 6.30pm. The shop closes at 10pm.Įmployee's are alone between the hours of 8.45am and 12.30pm and 6.30pm and 10pm. The shop opens at 9am, but employee's are to be logged on to the till at 8.45am. Overall, I didn't have it as bad as some have but I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it at all. Quite easy to work your way up as so many people leave they will essentially encourage anyone to do the job but the pay isn't worth the hassle or stress.Ī lot of loan manning, depending on area you can get a lot of abuse from customers and some shops didn't have security screen or a safe place if anything did happen. In another shop, the manager was the opposite and done his fair share of nights and weekends like the rest of us and was always willing to help cover any shifts if you wanted them off for something. I worked in 3 different shops in total and in 1 of them the manager was very selfish and constantly took weekends off and never done any late nights. It 100% depends on what the managers are like in each shop. ![]() It probably suits students more as it can be pretty flexible with hours for back shift but not for your normal full time every day job. ![]() I worked for William Hill for 18 months, wasn't all bad but I wouldn't recommend it as a job. ![]()
